From June 19th to 22nd, 2024, the 11th International Conference on Sustainable Solid Waste Management was held in Rhodes, Greece. At the conference, partners from UVIC delivered an oral presentation entitled “Applying Circular Strategies to the Food Industry: Slaughterhouse Solid Waste Valorization in a Pilot Demonstration Plant.”
The presentation provided a detailed overview of the results from the meat processing demonstrator, focusing on the valorization of solid wastes through anaerobic digestion, solid-state fermentation, and biodrying.
