On April 4th, members from the AGENSO’s AccelWater team traveled to the premises of KYKNOS S.A. Greek Canning Company in Savalia, Amaliada, Greece for a meeting.
KYKNOS is one of the oldest and largest industries in Greece, dating back in 1915. They have been producing a wide variety of tomato products since their inception, such as milled tomatoes, tomato paste, passata, tomato puree, chopped tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, tomato juice, etc. The more recent years, they have started producing other food products, such as mustard, mayonnaise, baked beans, sliced mushrooms, etc.
After presenting AGENSO and its activities, an extensive discussion took place regarding the AccelWater project. Representatives from KYKNOS were very interested in the project’s methodologies and outcomes, and seemed keen on adapting the methodologies in their own production lines. Additionally, they went on to purchase three of AGENSO’s devices that will be used for monitoring in the AccelWater project.
